I'm not perfect. The members of my church aren't perfect. But we are learning how to become perfect as we learn to follow our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ through His restored gospel, teachings found in the scriptures, and God's word revealed through His prophets.
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. (Matthew 5:8)
And just to clarify, just because I'm a health-nut and crazy about natural birthing doesn't mean all LDS people are. I mention this because an LDS friend of mine relayed a story about some friends asking if they dyed Easter eggs. This LDS friend didn't. So her friend assumed ALL MORMONS didn't dye Easter eggs. Not true. I grew up dying Easter eggs. So don't just assume that because I do something every member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints also does it.
So an invitation to go straight to the source:
- Read the Book of Mormon
- Have some of our amazing full-time volunteer missionaries give you a visit
- Go to a worship service at one of our churches found pretty much everywhere around the world
- Or one of my favorite summaries of our standards that we teach our youth and that adults also abide by is this For the Strength of Youth publication
Also you can check out my little "I'm a Mormon" profile page over here that I created a while back.
